Himalayan Institute of Technology’s Pooja Agarwal takes silver at 2021 Lima Parasport Shooting World Cup
DEHRADUN, UTTARAKHAND, INDIA, June 19, 2021 /EINPresswire.com/ – Ranked 14th in the world and 11th in Asia for shooting, Pooja Agarwal, a former Himalayan Institute of Technology, wins a silver medal at the Lima 2021 Parasport Shooting World Cup in Lima, in Peru. Pooja did his graduate studies at the Himalayan Institute of Technology.
Pooja started shooting in 2016 after a very tragic accident at Delhi train station where she fell on the tracks and was run over by a train, after which three of her limbs had to be amputated to save her life. After the accident, her marriage fell apart and Pooja changed with her mother, but Pooja was a strong soul and decided that she would not live a life of pity. after which there was no turning back. In 2017, Pooja won his first international medal at the Parasport Shooting World Cup in Al Ain, United Arab Emirates in 2017 for a 10m air pistol event.
Her determination and hard work paid off again when she won a silver medal at the 2021 Lima Parasport Shooting World Cup in an air pistol event and made the nation proud. In this event, she teamed up with Anurodh Pawar.
