With the first month of 2022 over, NIKE, Inc. began revealing a slew of new footwear products created under a themed banner. For its latest offering, the North American conglomerate unveiled a Nike Air Max 90 covered in metallic silver and gold accents.

After a matching Dunk Low, the newly remade pair offers women another exclusive and experimental arrangement. Performance-focused mesh and TPU materials resume their typical roles, but synthetic leather panels on the shoe’s upper execute a “fashion first” mentality. Eye-catching gold appears across much of the forefoot, enlivening branded cutouts on the mudguards and lending its likeness to jewel-inspired lace dubraes. Contrasting silver takes over the mud flaps and spine overlays, the latter donning the “University Red” style. Underfoot, the women’s Air Max offering ditches all flashy makeup in favor of a tried-and-true color combination that leaves the Airbag visible in a simple off-white tone.
