Raiders injury news: Darren Waller is inactive against the Eagles
Las Vegas Raiders star tight end Darren Waller is inactive for Sunday’s home game against the Philadelphia Eagles.
It basically came out of nowhere.
ESPN reported that Waller injured his ankle during practice on Friday. He was limited in practice, but he was not on the injury report. On Saturday he was listed as questionable on the injury report. He worked before the game on Sunday and the final decision was made this morning.
Raiders TE Darren Waller, who was added to the injury report on Saturday with an ankle problem, “doesn’t feel right” and Las Vegas shouldn’t know until pre-game warm-ups if he can play today ‘hui against the Eagles.https: // t.co/hNcxs38nqw

Waller has 33 catches for 378 yards and he has two touchdown catches this season. Foster Moreau will take on the starting role of Waller. Expect the Raiders to pitch Kenyan running back Drake often against the Eagles with Waller absent.
Matt Bushman, an undrafted rookie tight end, has been raised from the practice squad and will be active on Sunday for the first time. On Saturday, third-string tight end Nick Bowers was placed in the injured reserve, joining compatriot Derek Carrier in the injured reserve.
Defensive tackle Quinton Jefferson is active. He was questionable after missing the entire week of practice for family reasons.
The other inactive Raiders players are: quarterback Nathan Peterman, cornerback Amik Robertson, running back Peyton Barber, defensive end Malcolm Koonce and tackle Jackson Barton. Robertson is a healthy scratch, which isn’t great. Desmond Trufant, who signed this week, is active.
