Repayments of Rs 42.4 million were disbursed by LTO over the past month in line with RBF’s vision to facilitate the export industry
FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – Aug 4, 2021): Repayments of Rs 42.4 million were disbursed by LTO over the past month in line with the RBF’s vision to facilitate the export industry.
That’s what Chief Taxpayer Office of Large Taxpayers (LTO) Multan Nabila Faran Baig said as he addressed members of the Pakistan Textile Exporters Association (PTEA) on Wednesday.
She said that despite having fewer manpower, LTO Multan was trying to resolve taxpayer tax issues on a more strategic basis. She informed that companies with an annual turnover of Rs 1 billion or more, falling under the territorial jurisdiction of Multan and surrounding areas, have been transferred to the Grand Bureau des Taxuables (LTO) Multan.
She added that the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) solves issues for exporters, manufacturers and the business community on their doorstep.
Responding to a question, she said that the necessary arrangements are being made for the handling of deferred claims and 66 sales tax claims from exporters. Earlier, PTEA Chairman Muhammad Ahmad welcomed LTO Chief Commissioner and praised the government’s effective measures to deal with the adverse effects of the COVID-19 pandemic; in particular the disbursement of unpaid repayments which has significantly contributed to alleviating the liquidity crisis and has supported the export industry in the current situation.
