Video shows cyclist hit by vehicle; the police are looking for a driver

Video: Cyclist injured in hit-and-run in Silver Lake
LAPD Traffic Detectives are looking for the vehicle and driver who struck a cyclist in the Glendale Blvd area. and Allesandro Street.
SILVER LAKE, Calif. – The Los Angeles Police Department has released dashcam footage in hopes of locating the driver who hit a cyclist in Silver Lake.
The hit-and-run occurred on January 16 around 4:20 p.m. in the Glendale Blvd area. and Allesandro Street.
According to officials, the cyclist was traveling south on Glendale Blvd. when a silver Hyundai Elantra, from 2012 to 2016, crashed into the bike. The video shows the man falling to the ground; however, he quickly got up and walked to the sidewalk. The vehicle continued to roll. His bike was damaged beyond repair.

According to police, the driver continued southbound on Glendale Blvd. and was last seen heading west on Berkley Ave. from Allesandro St.
The cyclist was slightly injured. There is no description on the driver, but the vehicle is believed to have front damage on its right side and is missing its right front wheel cover.
A $5,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the driver’s arrest and conviction.
